Rathalos Pixel Art

Okay so a lot to upload tonight even though I haven't been streaming - and none of these are the heavy bowgun I promised, I'm in the process of moving but when the spark of inspiration hits I feel like I've gotta follow it all the way to 3 am.

Anyway, this Rathalos is going to be much more heavily featured in a future thing I'm working on (stay tuned for that it's gonna be cool) but I had a lot of trouble finding a reference in a scale I could work with. I tried a bit to adapt this bat from Castlevania (here www.spriters-resource.com/game_boy_advance/cvaos/sheet/4333/) but he ended up looking goofy af so I scrapped it.

Luckily I then found this gif of a flying Rathian by ZTagger on tumblr (zedotagger.tumblr.com/post/139928305100/i-finally-finished-up-this-rathian-no-attack) which looks amazing but is far too big for my use, so I had to scale it down and simplify it before working on it. I'm super hype for the project I'm working on so stay tuned y'all.
